Kohls Has the Best Coupons

I keep my eye out for good coupons and some of the best I have seen are the $10 off coupons from Kohls.  Usually stores will make you spend a certain amount to save a certain amount like save $5 on a purchase of $25 or more, but not Kohls.  They give you $10 off and you only have to spend $10!  That means if you can find something for $10, you basically get it for free.  It has to be over $10 so you will end up spending a dollar or 2, but still, getting $10 of merchandise for $2 is a great deal.

I have gotten 2 of these Kohls coupon cards in the mail over the past 2 weeks.  Usually I don't like being on mailing lists because you get so much useless junk mail, but Kohls is a good list to be on.  With the 1st card, I got a water bottle with a filter, $10 value for about a dollar.  With the 2nd card I got 2 packs of vacuum bags, $12 value for $2.

I'm surprised Kohls offers these coupons.  I can't see how they would be making money if people are using them like this.  Maybe they figure people will spend more once they are in the store, and maybe people will, but frugal types like myself will use it to get the best deal and spend the least amount needed to use the coupon.

Have you found any other great coupons for other stores?  Share them in the comments below.

Random Blog - Lots of Stuff

I keep having ideas of things to write about, but little ideas that might not make a full blog post, so I thought I would gather them up into one blog and see how it goes.

Thursday is the end of an era as Michael Scott will be leaving The Office. I'm not sure why he is leaving before the show ends, or why they are going to keep it going without him. Yes the show has a lot of great characters, but Michael is the nucleus. I have said it before and I will say it again, Michael Scott IS the office. He will surely be missed.

Overplayed commercials. Don't you hate those? NBC's The Voice promos and and Xfinity's commercial with that lady from Glee, I'm looking at you. Nothing makes me not want to support a product more than having to sit their commercial 1000 times. I'm not signing back up for Comcast any time soon and I already hate The Voice and I haven't even seen it yet. I'm guessing they want to make it like American Idol, but let the show speak for itself, not the commercials.

Skin care product review. I recently tried out a face wash from St. Ives. It was an apricot exfoliating kind of wash. It had some good review so I thought I would check it out. I was disappointed. It has like these grains in it so it feels like you are rubbing sand on your face. Not good. Then the sand is hard to wash off. I tried it for 2 days and my face was worse than it has been in a long time. I'm going back to washing my face with my Suave 2 in 1 shampoo. It's not too expensive and it works good.

Kohls Rocks!. Kohls is my favorite place to buy clothes. The atmosphere is comfortable, the selection is good and the prices are great. I got a $10 off coupon in the mail. Usually when you get coupons like this, you have to spend $50 to get the discount, but for Kohls, you just have to spend over the amount to get the deal. I found a polo shirt for $11.99. When they rang it up, it was $9.99. I gave the cashier the $10 coupon and it was free! They must be losing some money with these kinds of coupons, but then again, they will get customers such as myself who will come back and get more clothes there. And guess what just came in the mail today? A $10 off coupon for JCPenny! I'll be swinging by there next week.

Random vocab word - Gruntled. You've heard of disgruntled, it means like upset or angry, but did you know without the "dis" it actually means happy? If you are happy, you are gruntled. Doesn't seem like it does it?

This draft looks long and I don't want it to be too much to read so until next time.
